What is this hurricane stuff?? Two times now in the last 2 weeks a man has knocked on the door and said we have to evacuate for the hurricane. I say "I'm going somewhere", oh boy, "I'm going somewhere", must be like a bird mart. Both time mom says no, we're staying here. I love to go places, I want to go. This hurricane thing is supposed to get here Saturday, maybe it will be fun. I look at the TV, all I see is a red circle, doesn't look like much fun. It's been 3 weeks since I got to go anywhere. mom says we have a bird mart in Louisiana at the end of this month in Lafayette. I remember that one, I have lots of friends there, and they have a great raffle table. Last year I won lots of Crazy Corn, this year I'll try to win more. I just love Crazy Corn. I hope all my friends will be there and new friends too.

What is the fuss all about? Suddenly everyone is coming to see all these little Blue Quakers. There all over the place, seven of them, and they even got on my bong and ate my food. This won't do at all. Their huge and Mom keeps on handfeeding them. They don't even leave any formula, and I like a bite too. I think our aviary has been invaded. Between the Quaker babys, and Green Cheek babys I just don't get the attention I deserve. After all, I'm "The Bug", and rule around here. I'm important. I don't mind sharing with Parrotlet babys, they wean fast, and go away, not like these big birds that will never wean. Mom says it won't be that much longer, some are already sold, but not soon enough. Help, everyone reading this buy a blue Quaker and get them out of here fast. The Green Cheeks arn't so bad, at least they haven't got on my bong yet.

With Christmas fast approaching, and all the trees, tinsel, and Christmas party's, please take extra care of your pet birds. After all, shinny decorations and tinsel look like fun toys to play with. We don't understand they can injure or kill us. Many of us are used to helping ourselves to your glass of juice in the morning, we don't know that this time of the year juice sometimes has alcohol in it, and that is poison to birds. Sometimes you have neighbors or relatives drop by that aren't used to little birds. They often have small children with them that don't know not to squeeze us, and they might step on us too, so please put us safely in our cage. And last of all, remember, we birds LOVE to get presents, lots and lots and lots of presents, but make sure there safe for us to have, and lots of fun to play with. Merry Christmas from me (Bug)
